Open Call for ITC conference grants linked to the RoxyCOST CA18210

ITC Conference Grants are aimed at supporting ECI and PhD students from Participating ITC to attend international science and technology related conferences, event or activityon the topic of the Actionthat are notorganised by the COST Action. The virtual conference fees for ITC conference grants meetings can be considered eligible, if the other eligible criteria are fulfilled. 

So please do not hesitate to apply even for those if you wish to attend any virtual conference with registration fees.

We are receiving applications for ITC conference grants from Early career researchers and PhD students to attend a conference in the topic of the RoxyCOST action.Due to the restrictions following the coronavirus pandemic, and cancellations of many conferences, we have an open call until the end of the  grant period.

Attendance to European conference is preferred. Conferences, meetings and other activities organised by COST/RoxyCOST are not eligible. The applicant must present (oral or poster) at the conference her/his own research related to the topic of the RoxyAction and must be listed in the official event or conference program. The RoxyCOST support must be acknowledged. The application is completed online in the eCOST (conference grant), where supportive documentation (CV, short description of the involvement in RoxyCOST, acceptance letter from the conference organizers, a copy of the abstract or poster submitted to the conference) will be uploaded.

After the conference, the successful candidate/s must submit a scientific report, travel documentation, and fee invoice (if applicable) within 30 days in order to claim the grant. The grant is paid only after the conference implementation and the submission of the requested documents.
According to the COST rules, the call for ITC conference grants will ONLY consider Early Career Investigators (max 8 years after the PhD graduation) and PhD students from an institution in an ITC country participating in the RoxyCOST Action. ITC countries are Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Croatia, Hungary, Lithuania, Latvia, Luxembourg, Malta, Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Slovakia, Republic of North Macedonia, Republic of Serbia and Turkey.


A Conference Grant is a fixed financial contribution and do not necessarily cover all of the expenses related to participating in a given conference. A Conference Grant is a contribution to the overall travel, accommodation and meal expenses of the selected Grantee. The calculation of the financial contribution for each Conference Grant must respect the following criteria:
• Up to a maximum of 1 500 EUR in total can be claimed;
• Up to a maximum of EUR 160 per day can be claimed for accommodation and meal expenses.
• Up to a maximum of EUR 500 can be claimed for the conference fees.
